The world's Minecraft players log hundreds of hours in Minecraft every day, but they don't play in China. Mojang is a Minecraft developer, announced today that it's creating a new version of the game designed specifically for Chinese players. This development was made possible by NetEase which is an Chinese internet company. Servers operates games such as Hearthstone and World of Warcraft in China. There is no official release date and no information about what changes to the core game will be made to cater to the Chinese market. We do know that the Chinese version will be released only on smartphones and PCs. "We are excited to introduce Minecraft to Chinese gamers, and we anticipate our vast online community to embrace this game of a lifetime," William Ding, CEO and co-founder of NetEase, Inc. announced. "With our deep understanding of the Chinese market and our ability to successfully launch world-renowned mobile and online games, we can provide an excellent platform for introducing Minecraft to China's massive user base."
